News from the Chicago Marathon
A few interesting tidbits from yesterday’s Chicago marathon:
- Larry Moon has participated in every Chicago marathon. Yesterday was his 32nd in Chicago and 59th overall. Pretty impressive.
- 22-year old Kenyan Sammy Wanijru ran the fastest marathon on America soil- 2 hours, 5 minutes and 41 seconds. He walked home with $75,000 for finishing first, and $100,000 for breaking the marathon record. Not too shabby.
