Death row inmates' last words »
TheĀ New York Times ran a collection of last words spoken by inmates before they were executed. They’re so interesting, and heartbreaking. A few:
Nothing I can say can change the past.
Go ahead?
I don’t have anything to say. I am just sorry about what I did.
I wish I could die more than once to tell you how sorry I am.
Kick the tires and light the fire. I am going home.
Death row is full of isolated hearts and suppressed minds.
